品Prestige 4th Anniversary

To celebrate PIN Prestige magazine’s 4th Anniversary, we have designed based on the theme "Quirky" and collaborated with Bynd Artisan, Sueki Ceramics and The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. to produce limited edition A4 folders, unique tea blend and a customised Otani mug as subscription gifts.

To mark this momentous occasion, &Larry has designed and The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. produced a limited edition unique tea blend. Specially named as "Kopi +eh”, the blend is inspired by the popular Yuan Yang, a modern invention enjoyed by many. It is a smooth combination between fragrant black tea and robust coffee powder, Kopi +eh is one aromatic blend is one to remember. 

Accompanying the tea blend is a unique grey glaze ootani mug specially designed by Sueki Ceramics for Faculty. Resembling the texture of molten rock, no two mugs are the same in this limited edition run. Similar to The 1872 Clipper Tea Co.’s &Larry Tea Blend “Kopi +eh”, the mug is a marriage of two stark contrasts of a rough exterior and a smooth interior.

Keeping in line with &Larry’s “Objects” series (a collection of objects designed to invoke social commentary), “Sign Of Our Times” was inspired by the ubiquitous “Danger-Keep Out!” sign, which is commonplace in Singapore. As a city that is forever in a state of reinvention and construction, this unique sign – most often displayed on the exterior of construction sites and relayed in the country’s four official languages – warns of the danger ahead and prevents mishaps as a result of entering dangerous turf.

The black leather A4 folder with linen thread stitching features the “warning” subtly, as a blind de-bossed typographic design, serving a personal reminder to keep one’s belongings safe. For PIN Prestige’s 4th Anniversary, &Larry illustrated the quirky theme by putting a bold spin on the artwork with a grey silkscreen on the A4 folder.
