Takashimaya Giants

Building on our series of branding campaigns for Takashimaya Shopping Centre, the 2016 edition puts the spotlight on the mall’s true “giants” – Takashimaya, its stable of luxury brands, and its astute customers.

As a divergence from traditional beauty shots, the photographic art direction was decidedly moodier, relying on sculpted shadows and backlighting for a sense of depth. The graceful flourish of the illustrations by award-winning illustrator Yoco Nagamiya also serves as a suitable counterpoise to the quiet strength of the campaign’s typography.
