GET IN TOUCHIn commemoration of the nation’s golden jubilee, The Next 50 showcases 50 innovations that positively impact Singapore. The exhibition’s architecture and identity extensions were intentionally generated artificially by data and algorithms obtained from human traffic flow through SUTD’s main foyer, and the eight categories in which the inventions fall under. Set in Foundry Gridnik, the identity’s tech-like aesthetic correlates to the visual forms of the vitrines containing the exhibits.
The resulting design resembles an urban landscape populated by inventions organised around different “neighbourhoods”, with the exhibits’ segregation being similar to house numbering. Akin to a built environment, there is no pre-determined path; visitors are encouraged to approach and explore from different points and angles.
