Chinese hell money is traditionally burned as an offering to the gods and the deceased residing in the underworld. It is available in two denominations, differentiated by silver and gold leaf pasted onto thin, irregularly rectangular sheets of rough, cream-coloured paper.
Taking our cue from a typical Western rock horror tee, we decided to come up with our own Asian version inspired by Chinese hell money. This one-off creation would feature gold and silver transfers printed onto t-shirts.
Question now is, can we be like the westerners and wear our Chinese horror rock tee with pride?
