Recently awarded with two Michelin stars, Restaurant André is an intimate 30-seater headed by chef-owner André Chiang.
With its dégustation menu centred around the culinary ideology of Octaphilosophy – Unique, Pure, Texture, Memory, Salt, South, Artisan, Terroir – Restaurant André’s creations surprise and delight; these eight characteristics delineate the man’s careful approach to his craft.
Following the launch of his Phaidon published hardback “Octaphilosophy: The Eight Elements of Restaurant André”, &Larry was asked to develop a comprehensive digital experience, using a visual language that would expound fully André’s gastronomic ethos.
We identified three components at the conceptual foundation of André’s digital platform – his personal diary, the restaurant as an extension of his abode, and the communal experiences between the chef and his patrons.
The website was thus established as a key platform for the restaurant’s rich seam of content – videos, stories, quips and musings. The bespoke CMS was developed as one that is functionally robust, with the capacity and flexibility to accommodate and display a wide range of visually diverse content.
