MONU, short for “monumental”, is the name of a spacious private venue located within a downtown retail and residential development.
We were tasked to revamp the logo so as to better evoke the presence of an epic, three-dimensional sculpture like its namesake.
Up close, the letterforms are seen to contain a subtle paint spatter pattern which alludes to the creative possibilities that the space affords. Upon seeing photos of the actual space, one will also note the distinctive black columns that are reflected in the new brandmark.
The brochure itself is a play on spatial qualities, as it unfolds like a huge poster to reveal details and images of the venue to prospective customers.
