Vessels for Supermama

Long-time friend and collaborator Edwin Low, founder and owner of lifestyle store Supermama, first approached us a year ago in 2015 to work on a top-secret project. The idea: marrying Singapore designs with Japanese craftsmanship.

We began by assembling our very own team of ‘Avengers’ – Holycrap, Koh Hong Teng, Larry Peh, PHUNK and Theseus Chan – and named the project Vessels.

The works from all artists – together with our very own vase too – was exhibited for the first time at the inaugural Supermama Porcelain Festival at Gillman Barracks on 23 September 2016.

Here is ZINE Tokyo 11

In October 2015, &Larry was approached to participate in the 11th edition of Here is ZINE Tokyo.

Curated by Englightenment, the bi-annual exhibition celebrates the craft of handmade zines.

As a collaborative effort with photographer Ivanho Harlim, our response was an extension of 2008's Suitable for the Young project, which questioned the efficacy of censorship in Singapore.

Read more about the concept behind the zine here.
